Reporting from The Virginian-Pilot confirms ICE is in talks to lease office space on Wilroy Road.

Suffolk City Council had sent letters to large property owners expressing opposition to commercial property in Suffolk being used as ICE detention facilities. The owner of the Wilroy property, SimIS CEO, Johnny Garcia, says plans are for the facility to be used for office space.

The Suffolk Democratic Committee stands firmly against any ICE facility in our community.
