Committees under the Suffolk Democratic Committee
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee recruits and recommends persons to serve on the SDC.
Outreach Committee
The Outreach Committee develops and manages volunteers and coordinates activities for phone banking, canvassing, and voter participation efforts.
The Outreach committee also keeps members informed about issues and progress towards Democratic goals and objectives.
Event Planning and Fundraising Committee
The Event Planning and Fundraising Committee develops fundraising events for the SDC, identifies funding sources, and develops strategies to achieve goals set by the SDC.
Elections Committee
The Elections Committee coordinates the precinct and borough organization of the SDC. The committee coordinates assistance to candidates and services at polling places during elections.
Media and Messaging Committee
The Media and Messaging Committee promotes SDC events, maintains information and imagery of SDC for public releases, and maintains working relationships with other agencies, grassroots organizers, community organizations, news media, and civic leaders, to provide information of the SDC’s missions.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee creates, approves, and updates policies that help ensure the SDC assets are protected, and develops budgets and funding goals. The Finance Committee maintains records and reports, and ensures financial accountability for the Suffolk Democratic Committee
Technology Committee
The technology committee provides information and guidance on the use of technology and manages the strategy, deployment, and maintenance of technologies and services used by SDC. The Technology committee is also responsible for application development, website maintenance, and system administration of campaign tools and social media accounts,
