SDC and IOWCDC Celebrate the Inauguration

While thousands of the president’s supporters made it to Washington D.C. (and while Republicans in the Virginia Senate were sneaking in a redistricting plan to eliminate a Democratic seat), some of us were celebrating the president’s inauguration and Martin Luther King day right here in Suffolk, at Temple Beth El on Bridge Road. We enjoyed a warm meal among friends while we watched the event on live stream.

After the swearing in, Dr. John McGlennon spoke to the group about the importance of Virginia in national elections, and the importance of staying politically active every year in Virginia.
