Progress in the General Assembly
We covered a lot of topics and we’d like to thank Delegate Cliff Hayes for joining us and keeping us updated on what’s happening in the General Assembly. We all know about the passage of Medicaid expansion but did you know we had a few other victories thanks to your letters, phonecalls, comments, votes and to the efforts of our Democratic legislators?
For example, Virginia has increased its felony larceny threshold from $200 to $500. This will be the first increase since 1980! This will give more people a chance to reform themselves without the obstacles that come with a felony conviction.
We’d also like to thank our regional and local Virginia Victory organizers Ivana Hall and Daniel Pinelli for kicking off the campaign efforts in Suffolk. Daniel is our field organizer and can be reached at
We’re going to be phone-banking Tuesdays in Downtown Suffolk and Thursdays in Northern Suffolk.
Our first day of door-knocking will be this Saturday at 10:00, 1:00, and 4:00 meeting at Panera in Northern Suffolk. Contact Daniel for more information![Open Separately]
