Register

Register to vote by October 17 to vote in the November 2016 General Election.

Or get a paper form at the Voter Registration Office. In Suffolk go to 440 Market Street.
Return the form to: Voter Registrar / 440 Market Street / Suffolk VA 23434. For mailing, allow at least 5 days for delivery.

Registration Status

ID Requirements

Get a Voter ID Card

Get a free voter ID card, even if you don’t have current ID.

Restoration

Check your voting rights restoration status or request restoration of your rights.

Absentee Ballot

Request an absentee ballot to be mailed to you by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1
Request an absentee ballot in-person by 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016

Go to VA Dept of Elections Voter Information Page (fill out the form, then check “I want to apply for absentee voting”)
Request an absentee ballot at the Voter Registration office. In Suffolk go to 440 market street.
