Rally for Health Care in Richmond – And Call Your Senator!

Last week, Virginia Senate Republicans were on the verge of working for the interests of Virginians by passing a budget which included Medicaid expansion, but instead, they put off the budget vote for another week. A majority of senators – that is all Democrats and just enough Republicans – have indicated that they would listen to their constituents and support Medicaid expansion. On Tuesday, the Senate will resume budget talks.

That’s why on Tuesday, May 29th people from all over Virginia will meet in Richmond to remind their senators that Virginians want and need Medicaid expansion. While they dawdle, thousands of hard-working Virginians continue to be unable to afford medical care.

The rally starts at 10:30, May 29th at The Pocahontas Building at 900 E. Main Street, Richmond, Virginia.

Several organizations are coming together to organize this event. Please see links below for more information:

And even if you can’t make the rally, call your senator and urge him or her to support Medicaid Expansion in Virginia.
